As a result we have developed a wide range of knowledge and services that can be provided when we are engaged in Construction Consulting Services. The list of available Construction Consulting Services are extremely varied and can be offered individually or as part of a package. In general, the available services are similar to those provided in a Construction Management agreement.

1. Pre-Construction Services – May include conceptual estimating, constructability analysis, and preliminary scheduling.
These services may include a conceptual estimate, which can be completed based on limited information that is available as construction documents are developed. Also, comparisons can be made to determine the most effective and efficient systems and methods to be used during the later stages. Approximately 80% of a project’s potential savings are identified prior to the start of construction. Identifying the items that can lead to future savings in time and cost is a primary function of the Pre-Construction Services. A preliminary schedule may be developed and important design criteria and milestones can be identified.

2. Construction Services – May include providing the coordination and supervision to complete the project.
As part of Construction Services, Dunlop & Johnston, Inc. may provide on site project management and supervision, facilitate progress meetings and other communication, monitor progress, determine and enforce safety requirements, or maintain project records. These services can be provided by a combination of on-site personnel, trained specifically for the requirements of the project, and the on-going support of our entire office staff.
