Dunlop & Johnston, Inc. was the lead prime contractor for the interior portion of this project, consisting of a Health and Physical Education building as well as a Classroom building. In addition to completing its own work, Dunlop & Johnston, Inc. worked with the owner, the architect and over seven other major prime contractors to build a team atmosphere to complete the two buildings in a timely manner. This teamwork was put to the test as both buildings came under a significant redesign shortly after the interiors construction had commenced. Through careful planning, coordination and scheduling, Dunlop & Johnston, Inc., working in conjunction with the team was able to complete this project to its revised schedule, one that had been developed over a year prior to the opening date of the facility. Having demonstrated the benefits an owner can realize by employing Dunlop & Johnston, Inc. to coordinate and facilitate the ever changing complexities of a project such as this, Dunlop & Johnston, Inc. was subsequently awarded the gym equipment package, after not having the lowest bid, but having demonstrated the best value.
